Radio Work
Amrit Vela Radio is an award winning Sikh devotional programme produced and presented by Lucky Dhillon. It began broadcasting in 1997 and made history as the first programme in Europe to broadcast live from Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) daily.
It's assortment of refreshing, youthful programming sets it apart from traditional 'spiritual programmes' and encourages an audience of mixed faith. 'Amrit Vela' itself means the ambrosial hour and refers to the early hours of the morning, which are considered most conducive for meditation and practicing 'nam' in Sikh spirituality.
Amrit Vela Radio features a live link to the Golden Temple for the ' Ardas' (daily prayers) and 'Hukumnama' (daily hymn/order).
